  • Put your Kia Soul in “Parkand let the vehicle cool down for half an hour. This will prevent the valve and surrounding components from getting too hot.
  • Open the hood of the Kia and identify the location of the PCV. On Kia vehicles, the PCV is located under the plastic cover mounted on top of the engine. The valve sits in a rubber grommet with a small hose coming out of it.
  • Remove the plastic casing. Loosen and remove the four screws that hold the case in place. Now you will see the pcv valve on the left rear of the engine.
  • Pry the valve out of the rubber grommet with needle nose pliers. The valve will slide in easily, be careful not to damage the rubber grommet. Disconnect the hose from the valve by pulling it straight out.
  • Finally put the new PCV valve in the rubber grommet. Secure the valve by pushing it down. You will hear the valve click into place. Connect the hose to the replacement valve. Replace the plastic casing and tighten the four screws. Close the hood of the Kia Soul.
